The method is to request the answer from Google via the Android device manager function, the search engine can tell you the last place where the geolocation data of your smartphone was collected.

It sometimes dates from one or two days but that's already it! To do this, log on to www.google.com/android/devicemanager, making sure you have previously logged into your Google account. Click on Accept and wait a few moments before the location of the last geolocation appears on the map of Google Maps.

You can then choose to ring your phone to alert someone of their presence, but also to lock or even erase it to protect its content. Be careful however, this method requires a prerequisite: you must have authorized it in the Google settings of your phone. 

To do this, in the Phone settings application, scroll down, and tap Google. Then tap Security and then, in the Android device manager section, activate the Locate this device remotely and Allow lock and delete functions. Finally, still in Google settings, press Position, and activate the Location function.
